No matter what the breed, nor the discipline, here at the Running A Ranch we feel that every horse needs a good mind and a great foundation. We specialize in breeding horses with great minds and then making sure they are provided with the best foundation possible. We feel this is the secret to producing a GREAT horse!

 

The Running A Ranch is a small horse ranch, located just 4 miles south of Pawhuska, Oklahoma on Hwy 99.The Running A Ranch consists of over 150 acres of tall native grass pasture, 5 long turnouts, 3 pens, a barn that can stall 2 horses and a barn that can stall 6 horses.  We are located in the heart of Osage County, home to lots of tall native Bluestem grass.  We are dedicated to raising our horses with great care and with much emphasis placed on the good health of the horses.

We are striving to make sure that all of our horses turn into even GREATER performing horses. We want a horse that will not only go out and work a full days worth, but will also turn around on the weekend and compete competitively at horse shows and other competitive events.

 

We start our young horses out with a strict healthy diet to insure proper growth and health. As our horses mature and are capable, we slowly begin to prepare our young horses for the discipline they will perform the best in.

 

Currently, we have a few paint and quarter horse mares in foal to top performance-producing stallions.

 

Great minds, athletic ability and a good disposition are what we are breeding for in our horses. Not to mention...fantastic looks!
